Monday, June 26
Third-Degree Assault/Criminal Mischief/Domestic Violence: West County Road (CR) 8 — A female reported that she is in the beginning stages of divorcing her husband and they have been living separately for several months. While picking up his mail, the female reported the male hit her in the back of the head causing pain and kicked a door open causing damage to the frame. The male then left the house and proceeded to drive out of state for his work. An arrest warrant was issued for the male’s arrest. Victim Advocates were notified to assist the female.
Warrant Arrest: CR 14/Heron Lakes Parkway — A male was contacted and found to have an outstanding misdemeanor warrant for his arrest. He was booked at the Larimer County Jail.
Non-Injury Motor Vehicle Accident: Mountain Avenue/Eighth Street — A female driver was stopped at a red traffic light on Mountain Avenue when a work truck failed to stop in time and rear-ended the back of the female’s vehicle. No injuries were sustained to either driver; however, there was significant damage to both vehicles.
Tuesday, June 27
Hit and Run: Grand Market Avenue — A male backed into the front of another vehicle at the gas station. The male then fled the scene and was uncooperative with the investigation. The male was issued a summons for unsafe backing and failure to exchange information after a traffic accident.
Criminal Mischief: Mountain Avenue — A female graffitied the outside of a church. The staff did not want to pursue charges but wanted the incident documented in case of future issues. Extra patrols have been increased in the area.
Stolen Vehicle Recovery: East Highway 56 — A stolen Volvo XC90 was located in the parking lot of a business with a fictitious plate. The male driver and an unknown female walked away from the vehicle prior to contact being attempted by deputies and they were unable to be located. An abandoned dog was left in the vehicle and the Larimer County Animal Control came to take possession of the dog. Man’s best friend may be a dog, but this dog’s best friend sure was not these two folks.
Wednesday, June 28
Criminal Mischief: Spartan Avenue — A male driver did “donuts” in the park’s grass causing damage. The incident was caught on security cameras and the driver was issued a summons. Don’t challenge cops, one word about donuts and we are there!
Returned Runaway/Warrant Arrest: Berthoud — A male juvenile was located in Loveland by the Loveland Police Department and found to have an outstanding warrant. The juvenile was reunited with his family.
Soliciting without a License: East Michigan Avenue — Two verbally aggressive solicitors were reported in the area. The male was issued a summons to the Berthoud Municipal Court for continuing to solicit door-to-door after being warned not to solicit without a license.
Thursday, June 29
Felony Driving Under the Influence/Driving Under Revocation: East Highway 56 — A male was stopped for weaving and found to be under the influence of alcohol and driving under a revoked license. The male had four previous DUI offenses and was issued a felony-level DUI. He was booked into jail. Well the first, second, third, and fourth DUI didn’t seem to register … perhaps the fifth is the charm.
Friday, June 30
Warrant Arrest x2: Second Street/Turner Avenue — A male was contacted with an outstanding felony and misdemeanor warrant. He was subsequently booked at the Larimer County Jail.
Driving Under the Influence: Mount Massive Street — A female was stopped for speeding and was found to be over the legal limit and was booked for Driving Under the Influence at the Larimer County Jail. She claimed she “only had one beer” — must have been half beer half vodka!

Sunday, July 2
Mental Health Hold: CR 8 — A male reported to his father that he was going to kill himself with his gun. The male admitted to drinking three liters of hard alcohol. He was taken to the hospital and placed on a mental health hold.
Felony Menacing/Second-Degree Burglary/Felony Criminal Tampering with Evidence/Assault/Prohibited Wiretapping: Fourth Street — A boyfriend suspected that another male sexually assaulted his girlfriend after recording their conversations. The boyfriend confronted the male and was told to leave. The boyfriend entered the house anyway and shot the male in the back with a realistic Glock 19 BB gun. The suspect then attempted to dispose of the BB gun prior to law enforcement’s arrival. The sex assault could not be substantiated and further follow-up will be conducted. The male suspect was booked at the Larimer County Jail.
Criminal Mischief/Domestic Violence: Fourth Street — The female mentioned in the above incident broke her boyfriend’s phone. She was also booked at the Larimer County Jail.
