Jeanne was born Dec. 8, 1925, in Walnut, Iowa, to Emil and Nora Linke. She was the youngest of four. Jeanne grew up in Walnut, where she played piano at church services. She also played the violin and enjoyed playing football with the boys. She graduated from Walnut High School, learned teletype in Omaha, and moved to California where she worked as a teletypist.

Jeanne married Stan Edmisten, Dec. 27, 1946, in Avoca, Iowa. They enjoyed 68 wonderful years together. In 1959 they moved with their two young children to Boulder, Colo. Stan worked in construction and the two of them built many new homes and moved many times over the years in Boulder and Weld counties, eventually settling in the Berthoud area. Her pleasures were her family, tole painting and decorating the homes they built together. Jeanne had a great sense of humor and an infectious laugh.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Emil and Nora Linke; her two sisters, Mabel Ballentine and Pauline Fiscus; and her brother, Raymond Linke.

She is survived by her husband Stan; her two daughters, Janie Jones and Julie Adams; and her two grandchildren, Danny and Ambrianna Adams.

Services were held July 13, 2015, at the First Presbyterian Church, in Berthoud, Colo. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Pathways Hospice or the First Presbyterian Church in Berthoud.
