The Berthoud Weekly Surveyor is launching a podcast called Berthoud Beat© to accompany our local reporting coverage. Berthoud Beat will feature interviews with local people, organizations and businesses that impact daily life in the Graden Spot.

The first series of episodes features the seven candidates running for either mayor or trustee in the April 2 municipal election in Berthoud. Surveyor staff formulated five questions to ask each candidate to provide insight into how they view the town and the challenges facing it.

Staying informed about the direction and decisions of the Town of Berthoud is important and we believe that a podcast will further this objective.

We interview a wide and diverse range of people in the course of creating a newspaper every week and we believe that sharing these interviews with listeners will further inform and elevate our reporting.

We plan to feature various types of stories in our episodes, from profiles of interesting people to features on growth in northern Colorado. Readers—and hopefully soon-to-be listeners—are encouraged to listen to our podcasts and reach out with comments or ideas for future episodes.
