Giant columns of snow line Seventh Street beside Fickel Park in preparation for the Colorado Snow Sculpting Championship as part of the third annual Berthoud Snowfest. Sculptors will work on their creations over the next few days, meticulously bringing to life their visions for the giant cylinders of snow. Sculpting will continue until Saturday when judging will take place at noon. Slightly above average temperatures may prove to be a challenge for the artists, but lows in the 20s will help hold their art together. The event includes an artisan market, kids sculpting event, home and business decorating contest, and the Lighted Parade. Several other events will also take place around town during the same time, including the PEO (Professional Employer Organization) Christmas Home Tour.
