The Town of Berthoud is pleased to announce the appointment of Jimmy Rodriguez as aquatics manager/program specialist for the Town of Berthoud.

Rodriguez joined Berthoud Parks and Recreation on Feb. 19, 2018, and is responsible for the town’s aquatic facility; which includes management of staff, concessions, equipment, and all pool activities. Also, Rodriguez will plan, assign, and direct work to all pool staff. Rodriguez graduated from Henderson State University in 2013 where he studied aviation, physics and history while competing for their swim team. He has lifetime of aquatics and recreation programming experience, having worked and trained at every level from recreation to NCAA. Most recently Rodriguez spent the past two years coaching and supervising the Bronze and Senior groups for Sienna Plantation Aquatics in Missouri City, Texas.

“Berthoud has the strong community feel that I am looking for and I look forward to becoming a part of such a great organization. Opening the pool this summer will be an exciting time for the entire community, and I’m looking forward to making it everything that the community expects and deserves.”

The Berthoud pool will be open for the 2018 summer starting on Saturday, May 26, from 12-5 p.m. The pool features six, 25-yard swimming lanes with a diving board and small area for young kids to swim. There is a snack stand, locker rooms, and plenty of pool chairs and lawn space for everyone to relax and enjoy a nice summer day. Open swim hours are Monday-Friday, 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. and during the weekends from 12 to 5 p.m. Family swim will be offered Monday-Friday, 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. Please check online at www.berthoud.org for the full schedule, admission rates, and all activity offerings of the Berthoud pool.

The Berthoud pool can be reserved for parties throughout the summer as well. Please call the recreation office or check online for full details on party rentals or event reservations. Patrons can gain access to the pool by either purchasing a daily admission, or season passes are available for purchase.
