Monday, Feb. 26
Stolen vehicle recovery: Third Street and Colorado Avenue, deputy located a Toyota Minivan that was reported stolen out of Loveland.
Theft: Mountain Avenue, Hays Market, two 12-year-old girls decided to shoplift some mechanical-pencil lead yesterday from Hays Market. Through video the school resource officer was able to positively identify both girls.
Burglary / criminal mischief / theft: Second Street, the warehouse portion of the business was broken into by removing the metal siding and punching a hole through the foam insulation and drywall. Product worth $500 was taken by the suspect.
Identity theft / computer crime: Chokeberry Street, a resident reported someone opened a Sprint account in his name. He received three iPhones, that he didn’t order, in the mail.
Warrant arrest: Mount Massive Street, a 24-year-old man was contacted and had a felony warrant for his arrest out of Larimer County Sheriff’s Office and was booked.
Harassment: Murrlet Street, a resident received several taunting text messages from her sister-in-law over the arrest of her brother.
Suspicious circumstances: Welch Avenue, a 35-year-old man was contacted by deputies after he was called in by a neighbor for walking around in a daze and bleeding from his left hand. He was located and appeared to be under the influence of an unknown drug and said he tried to get in to an address on Welch because he heard someone screaming. The homeowner arrived on scene and said the man had property inside his house and was trying to get it. The back door glass was found to be broken, but entry had not been gained into the house.
Wednesday, Feb. 28
Burglary/theft: Derby Grill, 110 Bunyan Ave. Suspect shut the main power off outside which shut the cameras down. Kicked in the glass window next to the patio door and took around $2000 in cash.
Vehicle crash/non-injury: Highway 287 and County Road (CR) 8, vehicle driving southbound turned in front of a vehicle going north.
Thursday, March 1
Theft: Third Street, a resident reported her front license plate was torn off the front of her vehicle, including part of the plastic bumper.
Friday, March 2
Possession of a schedule II drug / warrant arrest: Mountain Avenue, a 34-year-old Loveland man was contacted and arrested for two warrants and charged with the possession.
Vehicle crash: Frontage Road and Highway 56, a Ft. Collins woman rear-ended another vehicle because she was following too closely and was unable to stop when traffic stopped. There was unusually heavy traffic on the frontage road due to a separate crash on the interstate. The driver was summonsed for following too closely and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
Criminal trespass / theft: S. Ninth Street, a juvenile female was at this address babysitting. She came outside and noticed two other juvenile males walking away from her vehicle. She noticed her purse was missing from inside the vehicle. She claims the two juvenile suspects are from Turner Middle School.
Trespass: Berthoud Parkway / Bunyan Avenue, an unidentified male was riding his motorcycle through the construction area (dirt lot). When confronted by the construction workers, he became rude and verbally aggressive. He was told to leave and stay off the property. The male on the motorcycle said he would do whatever he wants and they can’t stop him. Whatever he wants says he, oh nay, nay says we.
Saturday, March 3
Driving with a suspended license: S. Highway 287 and E. CR 8, a 26-year-old Greeley man was contacted for a traffic violation and found his license is suspended.
Driving with a revoked license: Eighth Street and Mountain Avenue, a 20-year-old Berthoud woman was contacted for a traffic violation and found her license is revoked.
Driving with a suspended license: S. Highway 287 and E. CR 8, a 37-year-old Berthoud man was contacted for a traffic violation and found his license is suspended.
Driving with a revoked license: Eighth Street and Mountain Avenue, a 68-year-old Loveland man was contacted for a traffic violation and found his license is revoked.
Sunday, March 4
Suspicious person: First Street and Bunyan Avenue, deputies contacted a 28-year-old Greeley man who was called in as “acting strange.”
Juvenile problem: Spartan Avenue, four juveniles were contacted at the high school. A 14-year-old, yes, I said 14-year-old, is on probation. All were turned over to their parents.
Vehicle theft: Fourth Street and Massachusetts Avenue, a 2000 white and blue motorcycle was stolen from this location.
Neighbor problem: Massachusetts Avenue, a business owner on the ground level was upset about a resident parking his truck behind the business and blocking his door. He also said someone placed a chair under the door handle to prevent the door from opening.
