According to a source close to the school, the Surveyor has learned that the Thompson School District has selected Gordon Boschman to be the new principal at Berthoud High School (BHS).

Boschman was one of two finalists who met with the BHS community last week and is currently the principal at the Early College Academy in Greeley’s District 6 school district.

A native of Canada, Boschman has a long history of experience as both a teacher of English and social studies and an administrator with roles as a guidance counselor, assistant principal and principal. In last week’s community forum, Boschman told those in attendance that he was attracted to Berthoud because of the small-town, community-centric culture and that he will place an emphasis on listening to a wide array of input when making decisions at the school, which he believes needs to put the interests of the students first.

The Surveyor will update this story as more information becomes available.
