Berthoud pool opening soon

Beginning on May 25 at 12 p.m. the Berthoud Parks and Recreation Department will be opening the Berthoud Community Pool for its 45th season. Our swim schedule for the summer is as follows:

Lap Swim

Monday-Friday: 6 – 7 a.m.

Open Swim

Monday-Friday: 1:30 – 5:30 p.m.

Saturday-Sunday: 12 – 5 p.m.

Family Swim

Monday-Friday: 5:30 – 7 p.m.

The recreation department will also continue to offer their Red Cross certified swim-lesson program, with weekly sessions beginning June 3. In addition, the department will begin offering an Intro to Swim Team lesson program, May 28-31, before kicking off the summer swim team season on June 3. The recreation department is pleased to announce long-time aquatics employee Mikayla Wilson will be taking a more active role with our pool this summer by stepping into the head coach position for our CARA Swim Team. Rounding out our coaching staff will be two of Berthoud High School’s swimming state qualifiers, Sarah McCormick and Abigail Dodd.
